Players looking for additional games and/or a more competitive environment should also sign up for the Stoughton Area Youth Baseball (SAYB) Travel Program. The goal of
SAYB is to advance the quality of Stoughton Baseball by offering competitive play against other communities and knowledgeable coaching.
Teams are offered for players at the 9, 10, 11 & 12 age levels and players must also participate in the Little League program. Players are expected to attend team practices and play in weekend games and tournaments.
- REGISTRATION & EVALUATION
Pre-registration is required and the number of teams formed is dependent upon the number of players and coaches. Team and tournament assignments are based upon skill levels which will be determined at a May evaluation. Playing in previous years does not guaranty placement on any specific team.
- AGE LEVELS
- The 9 year old program ($90.00) consists mostly of additional practices focusing on skills development. Additional single games or double headers are scheduled with one or two tournaments. This is a fun introduction to Tournament play.
- The 10 year old program ($100.00) will feature additional practices, additional single games and typically a few weekend tournaments. The 10 year old teams also compete in the Little League District Tournament.
- The 11 old program ($125.00) features additional practices and typically 3 to 4 weekend tournaments. The 11 year old teams participate in the Little League District Tournament.
- The 12 old program ($125.00) features additional practices and 4 to 6 weekend tournaments. The 12 year old team participates in the Little League District Tournament which is the first step in qualifying for the Little League World Series.
- COST
Payment (see above) is not due until teams are formed. Additional fees may be required and families are responsible for their own travel expenses. Most games and tournaments are well within driving distance.
Stoughton Baseball reserves the option to assign players to teams where they will best succeed and progress.
